ME

OK, I admit it, I'm a geek. A fat geek, at that. So sue me.
I enjoy my computers, my wife and my friends.

I also enjoy vacations, on which we take trips to places we also enjoy. This is where I've gotten most of the pics I show here.
The digital camera I currently use is a Canon Digital Rebel. I also have a Canon Elura 2 digital video camera. These cameras serve us well, and let us take pics that remind us of the places we've been (we need the help!).

I also enjoy BBQ, but not what most people consider BBQ, which is really grilling.
BBQ is slow cooking at low temps; you can't BBQ a hamburger in a small, round charcoal grill. You wouldn't want to BBQ a hamburger, anyway.
I have a New Braunfels Black Diamond smoker that I use for my BBQ. It's a barrel type, with an offset fire box that I use to BBQ. It will also smoke meat. There's not much better than a nice piece of brisket or pork shoulder that's been slow BBQ'd with a nice smokey flavor!

 I've done a lot of things so far, including running my own motorcycle shop, and managing a few other small businesses. I was a First Lt. in the Army Corps of Engineers during the Viet Nam era, but I never went to Nam. I certainly support our troops when they are sent to foreign countries, as well as when they are stationed here.

 I'm a member of ASCIi, the Arizona Society for Computer Information, inc. I've held every elected office they have except secretary (I hate taking notes!), including 4 years as President, and many committee chairs. ASCIi is a small but dedicated group of computer users in the Phoenix area.

BTW, the name PIPPINA comes from a dog we used to have, a Bassett, named Pippin. Why Pippin? Because Bassetts are small, have hairy feet, and love their food! We've had other Bassetts named Bilbo and Frodo.
We currently have two dogs, neither of which are Bassetts.
